Sunday, February 21, 2010 1:30-3:15 pm Begin the year anew by creating a gemstone chakra, and a blessing talisman. Chakra is a term derived from Sanskrit to indicate one of seven specific centers of spiritual energy in the body. Modern day seekers of light employ the use of crystals and gemstones for healing, meditation, energetic work, and balancing. We will discuss the correlation of color to each chakra, and the corresponding color of the gemstone and share the meaning of our individual talisman. A blessing ritual will conclude the class. The cost is $15 per person and all materials will be included for you to design two gemstone talismans. PRAYER FLAGS In the Tibetan tradition, prayer flags are used to promote peace, compassion, strength, and wisdom. There is the belief that the prayers will be blown by the wind to spread the good will and compassion to all. We will discuss various symbols and mantras which may be used as designs upon the flags. A blessing ritual will conclude the class. The cost is $15 per person and all materials will be included to make a multi-piece prayer flag.
